Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has seemingly put some pressure on the Merseyside club, by insisting that he needs to be winning trophies as soon as possible.

The Daily Mirror report that the 22-year-old believes that he is at an age where he needs to start winning silverware.
“I want to know how it feels to play in the big games. I’m 22. Its time to win trophies,” he explained.
The suggestion is likely to upset Toffees fans, as it appears that the Belgian is looking up to a level that Roberto Martinez’s men will struggle to achieve, and thus may be hinting at a desire to move.
With almost no chance of even competing for the league crown – having finished 11th this year, and with a best finish of fourth in the Premier League era – their best bet for silverware would surely come in the cup competitions.

The demands of a league campaign make a solid cup run a very difficult thing to do, as they proved with their dramatic exit in the Europa League this year, where they looked completely unable to deal with Dnipro’s dominance.
