According to the Daily Mirror, the Dutchman revealed that he is not planning to go anywhere, but admitted his future is not entirely down to him.

“Things could change now, but that all depends on Manchester United not me. Believe me, I’m relaxed,” he insisted.

Despite scoring ten Premier League goals, van Persie’s season was once again interrupted by injury as he missed two months of action. And upon his return, he failed to find the back of the net in any of the three games he featured in.

With Radamel Falcao’s loan not being made permanent, Louis van Gaal’s side are looking incredibly thin in terms of options up front. Nevertheless, there were suggestions that the former Arsenal man was on his way out of the club, with Juventus being suggested as a possible destination (via Daily Mail).

Meanwhile, United have been linked with a whole host of strikers from around the continent – including Karim Benzema (via Daily Mirror) and Harry Kane (via Daily Mirror) – which increased rumours that attempts would be made to replace the 31-year-old.
