Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah’s future appears to be finally heading for a resolution after talks with Roma suggested that a move may be imminent.
According to the Daily
The Egyptian has struggled to make an impression at Stamford Bridge following his move from Basel for around £11m in January 2014 (via BBC Sport). The abundance of wingers already at the club meant that he made just 13 appearances in the Premier League, only six of which have come from the start.
The arrival of another wide man in Juan Cuadrado led to his temporary departure, with a swap deal bringing the Colombian to the Premier League, while Salah headed to Fiorentina.
While the £23.3m man (via BBC Sport) endured a torrid time in the Premier League, Salah shone in Italy, scoring six times in 16 top flight games. The Express report however, that he rejected the chance to join La Viola permanently.
It now appears that not only have Fiorentina missed out on the player, they will have to line up against him next season.
