A Report in the Metro
Liverpool are in the hunt for new defensive reinforcements this summer, with Martin Skrtel’s future still up in the air and Glen Johnson being released upon the expiration of his contract.
And the Metro are claiming that a £2m fee has already been agreed with Danish club FC Copenhagen, with a deal ready to be wrapped up in the next few days.
Should the deal go ahead quickly, the 21-year-old would go straight into the first team to compete with Alberto Moreno for a starting spot.
Augustinsson has already collected two caps for the senior Swedish side, but played a key role in the Under-21s winning the European Championships earlier this week.
He has already been bred for success, picking up a Danish cup with Copenhagen last seasons, adding to the Svnska Cupen with former club Goteborg the season before.
