Liverpool given path to swoop for Lucas Digne as Roma pull out

Liverpool may be given another chance to land Paris Saint Germain defender Lucas Digne after learning that Roma may tear up their offer for him, the Daily Express reports.

The full-back seemed destined to be joining the Serie A side, but PSG want to keep hold of him until they can get a replacement signed.

The French champions are reported to be closing in on the signature of Monaco’s Leyvin Kurzawa, but Roma are now putting pressure on the club to get the deal done.

Roma have called on PSG to push the deal to go through by Sunday or they will turn their attention to Schalke 04’s Saed Kolasinac.

Rudy Garcia is said to be keen on landing another left-back after former Arsenal and Chelsea star Ashley Cole was released from his contract a year early.

But this news come come as a boost for Brendan Rodgers, who has been forced to play youngster Joe Gomez during the club’s opening two games of the season.
