Man United’s move for Barcelona winger Pedro stalls as clubs disagree over fee

Manchester United’s move for Barcelona winger Pedro appears to have stalled recently as the two sides fail to agree about how the Red Devils will pay for the 28-year-old, according to the Metro.

The two European heavyweights appear to agree that United will pay £21.4m for the World Cup winner, however, the Metro claim that while the Catalan giants want the full figure up front, the Old Trafford outfit are looking to pay the final part of the fee in add-ons.

The Metro report that the amount being disputed about is just £3.6m.

Considering Louis van Gaal has already overseen £80m-worth of arrivals during this window (via Daily Star), the news that the club are trying to avoid paying a small percentage of the total fee up front is unlikely to do them any favours.

Pedro could quite easily question how much van Gaal wanted him to be a part of his side, as, if they were desperate to get the deal done, and happy to pay the £3.6m as they are – although not initially – they would surely be happy to pay the full amount up front.
