The proposed location is an 80-acre brownfield site and once completed, the complex is expected to consist of 17 pitches and a 7,000 capacity stadium for the youth team. City are yet to get the green light from Manchester City council but have already purchased the land they plan to build on. The Citizen’s Chief Football Operations Officer Brian Marwood has said the campus will be excellent for the community, catering for up to 400 young players and providing over 100 jobs for the local community.
