6) Raheem Sterling (Liverpool) €73.7m-€81.0m
Although his season tailed off – as it did for the rest of the Liverpool squad – there is no denying that Raheem Sterling is one of the most talented youngsters this country has produced for a while. Despite being just 20, he became one of the first names on Brendan Rodgers’ teamsheet, as he has the ability to make something special happen. Unfortunately, his contract dispute with the club seems to have halted his development, although it appears to have done little to his value.
5) Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) €78.2m-€86.0m
If it wasn’t for Sergio Aguero, Manchester City would have surely been facing the prospect of Europa League football next season. Manuel Pellegrini’s side were so unconvincing at times this year, but were bailed out by the Argentinian’s form – once again – as he hit the back of the net 26 times in 33 games, winning the Premier League Golden Boot in the process.
