4) Neymar (Barcelona) €89.6m-€98.5m
Incredibly, only two of Barcelona’s deadly front three make the list, and the Brazilian magician is the first of them. He scored 22 times in La Liga, and on another ten occasions in the Champions League – including the clinching goal in the final against Juventus – sealing a fantastic treble for Luis Enrique’s men.
3) Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) €113.3m-€124.7m
The current Ballon d’Or holder only takes the bronze medal in this list, despite being the top goalscorer in La Liga this season, having bagged a staggering 48 strikes. Unfortunately, his teammates have been unable to back him up as the Spanish giants have failed to add to their bursting trophy cabinet during the duration of the campaign, something which led to the dismissal of Carlo Ancelotti. His age – 30 – is also likely to play a part in the fact he is worth less than half the value of the man who takes top spot.
